Sound Healing
According to Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, oncologist and author of The Healing Power of Sound, "The use of sound is among the most powerful healing modalities ever embraced by twentieth century practitioners." It has been called "the medicine of the 21st century".
Specifics of Isa's Sound work:
- Heart-centered approach to using sound as a therapeutic tool
- Trained in Sound in NYC with John Beaulieu, ND, PhD, RPP
- All work is done in a quiet, meditative and respectful environment
- 26 years of Opera lend a unique, multi-layered approach to Toning
- Unique meditation music used in conjunction with voice and bowls
- If needed, Isa is available for work at hospital bedside or surgical support in Pre-Op and Post-Op (sound is quiet in keeping with hospital environment - can be as simple as singing a soothing hymn)
What is Sound Healing?
In Private Practice - Isa works with stress reduction and preventive healthcare using Sound and touch as a "reset". She also works with Cancer patients (to provide "Complementary & Alternative" support during their treament in Chemotherapy and Radiation and to encourage them to express through Sound).
In Teaching - Isa teaches Voice Lessons to help reclaim (or discover for the first time) your voice. She teaches Sound Therapy classes called "Playshops". She also offers informative lectures and workshops in the Therapeutic Effects of Music and Sound. See classes link on main page
